Celebrating Gemini Open Houses: A Tradition of Community and Connection for Over 40 Years
A Welcome to Gemini Traditions. We believe in celebrating people and communities who make our shared success possible. One way we achieve this is through our open houses. These events are more than just tours of our facilities; they are opportunities to show gratitude to our team members, welcome their families, and strengthen our community connections.
At the heart of this tradition is our vision: Successful Partners. Engaged People. Thriving Communities. Open houses reflect our core value of stewardship by supporting our team members and local communities. What began as simple dinners and tours has grown into events that help our communities thrive, bringing families, neighbors, and partners together to celebrate the work we accomplish together.

A Tradition Since 1985
We have been hosting open houses for nearly four decades, since 1985 when team members first invited their families and friends to enjoy a free dinner and guided tour of our facilities. These early gatherings were meaningful but straightforward, offering a behind-the-scenes look at our craft while bringing families together in an atmosphere of pride and appreciation.
Over the years, open houses have grown into a hallmark of our commitment to our team members. Today, they are hosted at each of our locations every other year, ensuring that all team members, their families, and neighbors can participate in the celebration. Our historical photo archives tell the story: images of tours, smiling families, and community gatherings capture how these events have evolved while staying true to their roots.

Strengthening Community Connections
Today, our open houses are more than family-friendly events; they are a way to build lasting community connections. To make them inclusive for all ages, many locations add activities such as face painting, bouncy houses, food trucks, and even DJs, ensuring everyone feels welcome. In Cannon Falls, for example, the local high school robotics team demonstrates its latest robot, showing the impact of local partnerships. Police officers and other community groups are often invited to join as well, making these gatherings a celebration of the many people who help our communities thrive.
By welcoming local organizations and groups, we showcase the relationships that extend beyond our walls. These partnerships underscore our community’s commitment to supporting education, safety, and shared growth through our events.

Why Open Houses Matter
Open houses are one way we show our appreciation to our team members because they represent what we value most: our people and our communities. These appreciation events offer an opportunity for families to connect with the work we do, while also acknowledging the dedication and hard work of our team members.
For us, events like these strengthen bonds inside and outside our walls. They bring employees, families, and neighbors closer, fostering pride in our craft and in the communities we serve.

Continuing the Tradition
From simple dinners in 1985 to today’s full-scale community events, open houses remain a vital tradition of gratitude and connection. By hosting them every other year at each of our locations, we ensure that employees, families, and neighbors continue to experience the appreciation and community spirit that defines us.
