Gemini Commitment to Community Award
In 2023, we introduced the Commitment to Community Award that embodies our core value of stewardship. This award recognizes 501(c)(3) nonprofits demonstrating exceptional dedication and positive impact within their communities. We encourage Gemini partners to give back by nominating organizations making a meaningful impact in their communities. Our committee will review the nominations and select three finalists. Then, through online voting, the organization with the most votes will receive a $10,000 donation, while the runners-up will each receive $2,500 to support their cause.
Commitment to Community Award Guidelines
We are thrilled to launch our 2025 Commitment to Community Award. One of Gemini’s core values is stewardship. We’re inviting you to partner with us to give back to our community.
How does it work?
Gemini partners can nominate a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in their community that makes a difference to be awarded with a $10,000 donation from Gemini. Three finalists will be selected, with the runners-up each receiving a $2,500 donation.
What is the duration of the campaign?
The Commitment to Community Award begins February 19, 2025. Nominations close on March 5th. The week of March 10, 2025, Gemini’s nomination committee will select 3 finalists to be announced on social media.
On Gemini’s social media accounts, anyone can vote for one of the three nonprofits. Voting for the finalists closes March 21, 2025.
What nonprofits are eligible?
Any 501c(3) nonprofit in your area is eligible. Must be an organization who makes a difference in your community and one that you feel is worth highlighting.
Will the award be given in Gemini’s name?
Yes, in addition to the sign partner that nominated the winning nonprofit. One of Gemini’s core values is stewardship and we’re inviting you to join us in taking ownership of making a difference in your communities.
Can we nominate more than one nonprofit?
No, only one nomination can be received per business.
*Gemini reserves the right to select (or not select) 501c(3) organizations for donations. We reserve the right to choose the recipient of the $10,000 donation with or without the influence of votes. We maintain that the donation will go to the most deserving and best candidate as assessed by an internal cross-functional team of voters.

We launched the Commitment to Community Award in 2023 and received over 130 nominations. We’re excited to bring it back in 2025! As part of our core value of stewardship, we are committed to supporting local communities through charitable giving, volunteering, and engagement. We look forward to partnering again to recognize nonprofits making a meaningful impact.
Our 2023 Commitment to Community award winner was Foster Progress, nominated by The Sign Palace.
Foster Progress
Foster Progress empowers Illinois youth currently or formerly in foster care to attain a college degree and transition into adulthood successfully by providing mentorship, advocacy, and educational opportunity. They inspire youth with a long-term vision of their future and help them make it a reality.
