Commitment to CommunityAward Guidelines
We are thrilled to announce our first Commitment to Community Award. One of Gemini’s core values is stewardship. We’re inviting you to partner with us to give back to your community.
How does it work?
You’ll have the opportunity to nominate a 501c(3) nonprofit in your community that makes a difference. If your nonprofit is selected as one of the three finalists, they will receive a $2500 donation toward the purchase and installation of new signage, channeled through your sign shop.
What is the duration of the campaign?
The Commitment to Community Award campaign begins on July 31st. Nominations will be received for nonprofits through our social media pages. Nominations close mid-August. The week of August 21st, Gemini’s nomination committee will select three finalists which will be released on social media. These three nonprofits will receive $2,500 from Gemini towards new signage and installation.*
On Gemini’s social media accounts, a voting process will launch enabling followers to vote for one of the three nonprofits to receive an additional $10,000 donation to support their cause. Voting closes August 30th.
What nonprofits are eligible?
Any 501c(3) nonprofit in your area is eligible. Must be an organization who makes a difference in your community and one that you feel is worth highlighting.
Will the award be given in Gemini’s name?
Yes, in addition to the sign partner that nominated the winning nonprofit. Additionally, all signage orders will be filtered through your company. One of Gemini’s core values is stewardship and we’re inviting you to join us in taking ownership of making a difference in your communities.
Can we nominate more than one nonprofit?
No, only one nomination can be received per business.
*Please note: Checks must be made to the nonprofit organization. This money will then be used by the nonprofit to purchase and install signage from the nominating signage partner. Gemini cannot make payment directly to the signage partner. All checks must be provided to the nonprofit.
*Gemini reserves the right to select (or not select) 501c(3) organizations for donations. We reserve the right to choose the recipient of the $10,000 donation with or without the influence of votes. We maintain that the donation will go to the most deserving and best candidate as assessed by an internal cross-functional team of voters.
